In Dresden, the Frauenkirche celebrates the 10th Anniversary of its restoration. The Frauenkirche, the Church of our Lady, is often called the Heart of Dresden; it was destroyed during World War II on February 13-14, 1945, and was painstakingly restored and funded mainly by donations. The best view of Dresden is from the Frauenkirche’s Dome.

In October, Dresden will celebrate for 10 days the 10 years since the Church of Our Lady’s restoration on October 30, 2005. From October 22 - 31 the church will celebrate with concerts, speeches and more. This is the perfect time to see the heart of Dresden in all of its glory!
