A new exhibition in Weimar highlights the creation and role of the Weimar Republic in Germany after WWI. This new and comprehensive exhibition opened at the Stadtmuseum Weimar (City Museum of Weimar) to portray this chapter of history more elaborately and its context within World War I. Up until now the exhibit had only been in a small department of the City Museum of Weimar even though it represented one of the most important events of German history: The founding of the Weimar Republic that was sealed by the ratification of the constitution by the National Assembly in 1919 at the German National Theatre in Weimar.
